Fort Beekenburg

Built to defend the Spanish Waters in 1703, this historical fort has done it’s noble job of protecting the island of Curacao from the British and pirates countless times throughout history. Shete Boka Park

One of Curacao’s National Parks, The park begins at stunning Boka Tabla, where huge waves thunder into an underground cavern. Steps cut into the rocks lead you directly into the mouth of the cavern; you can sit on the very edge and watch the surf roll in. After you peek inside the cavern you can walk along the limestone bluffs above for a spectacular view of Curacao’s rugged north coast.

Hato Caves

Located at the north of Willemstad on the Roosevelt Weg, these caves served a utilitarian purpose during the slave trade era of Curacao. They served as shelter and hiding places for slaves who escaped. Before the arrival of Europeans and slaves, the Amerindian Arawaks used them for shelter, and left behind cave drawings, or petroglyphs, estimated at 1,500 years old.

Mt. Christoffel

The highest point in Curacao and a favorite spot amongst adventure seekers. The hike has an elevation gain of 1,227 feet and is a two hour route. Enjoy panoramic views of the island of Curacao while taking in the fresh air. Make sure to pack a lot of water and snacks, as its best to enjoy these while overlooking this amazing scenery.

Klein Curacao

Klein Curacao is a small island of 3 km2 (1.2 square miles) big which is just 10 kilometer (6.2 miles) South­West from the mother island Curacao and distinguished by its iconic lighthouse. This barren island is uninhabited and a perfect spot to spend the day just lazing around.
